I really like how you kind of... went here with this fic. Everybody writes them the way where they're happy and in love and everythings roses and perfect, which is nice and I like that... but I like this angle too. Where everything is not perfect, with awkward moments and things unsaid and distance and confusion.

Also, this is the most perfect sentence -- the most perfect opening sentence I may have ever seen. It is sheer poetry.

Although I hate to see the heartache (ok, I love to see it as long as I think a happy ending is coming) I really like the way you've written Alice. Because as annoying as it is when people are insecure and unable to speak their minds when it really counts...it's also very real. I really want more like...now...if that works for you. No? SIGH. Wonderful! One of the best Alice/Hatter piece I've read in a long time! (It's always refreshing to find a fanfic writer who can write WELL!... not just write poor-grammar smut.)
