I loved this episode too - I thought all the actors were at the top of their form, but Tom just looked so gorgeous it was reallly quite stunning. Everything worked for me, from the first scene to the last, but especially the last three scenes - Clark with Chloe finally reaching the right conclusion that he couldn't live apart; Clark with Lois at the Planet (I loved the hug too although my favorite cap is the one showing Clark's reaction); and then the great reveal at the end.
And as much as I loved all the "big" scenes, I adored all the smaller touches too. Like you, I loved seeing Lois being so affectionate with Shelby, but would have loved to see a sneeze. But maybe she planned ahead and took a strong antihistamene. And I want that Daily Planet keyring too!!
I've said it to anyone who's asked me about Smallville, but I'll say it again. This show makes me happy, seriously happy, every scene had me jumping, I know I joke around saying I know what's comming, but while I'm watching the episode I absolutely don't know, and I'm constantly asking myself what's going to happen. That makes this a well written show in my book, it's interesting, it's fresh and smart... it does not feel like a show that's been in the air for 9 years.

Thanks for the animation, this flashes just keep getting better, don't they? I don't know if I can say this week's are hotter than the ones from Savior, it's just too hard to chose, but I agree with you her smile was priceless. And that kiss... my GOD!... and his big hands on her back. Argh!! Now I need an animatio with both scenes mixed together, lol.
I have the theory that this season is some sort of conspiration against us, they are giving us all the Clois they denied us for 5 years just so we don't think or do anything else. I swear it's all I think about, damn it!

I certainly won't complain about Smallville, ever again. I wonder if the producers knew all of this was going to happen when they promised us we will forgive everything that happened during the Lana arc. I, sure as hell, have forgiven every single one of their sins
