Another fine day in the underworld. It would seem some have had the good fortune to be sent home. To them, I wish all the best.

[Despite his jovial tone, Balthier's expression holds a certain degree of strain. There's a tiredness to him that wasn't there when he first arrived.Well. Either my natural inclination to hole myself up for days at a time ( Read more... )

That's about the meat of it. You wanna loot the Hall?

'Loot' does not begin to cover it. If there is information in that place that can lead to our escape then I intend to uncover it.

But shiny trinkets worth some gil would be a pleasant bonus, yes.

That's an idea. Got any sorta plan for it?

The general gist of it is form small teams and scour the place. Ideally each team would have someone with a strong grasp of magicks to deal with any otherworldly traps Hades might have left for us, and someone of a ah... rapacious history to deal with more mundane traps and locks and hidden rooms. And of course, any muscle to deal with what might be lurking there. The teams would split up, and scour the place top to bottom. Treasure found is split evenly among the teams that find it, and any information found is shared with everyone.

[She is only going to roll her eyes.]

If you find any documents with actual information written in or on them, please let me know. Also, try not to die in the process. I would not be surprised if Hades left a few traps there.

Ah, such doubt, Misaki. Do have a little faith.

Whatever is found, you have my word I'll not keep it from you.

Thank you. [She inclines her head in gratitude.]

By the way, I do have faith [She pauses for effect.] in Hades' traps.

Ah, traps. I hope they're at least half as good as King Raithwall's or it will be a rather dull venture.

[Smirk.]

And you think that you are the first to explore such a place since Hades' departure? You may find nothing.

I doubt I am the first nor will I be the last. But palaces are large and full of secrets. I'd wager not all its mysteries are uncovered.

Hm, you may be right. [He appears thoughtful before smirking.] Very well. I have done more than my share of exploring in my time. Would your party care for one more or is it full?

There is always room for another so long as you can keep your head when the situation gets a bit sticky.

Which I am assuming by your words, this is very likely the case.

[Treasure?! You said the magic word! Lina's face appears on the screen, looking ready to do just about anything.]

Treasure? I'll help out with this. My magic may come in handy.

Well if it's a choice between sitting idle for the rest of my life in this drab, colourless world while mad gods experiment on us in effort to make up their mind whether or not they should destroy the universe, or actually doing something, however risky, then I think I'll go with the latter thank you.

[A chuckle.] You heroes and your blaze of glory. I'll tell you this: I'll watch you back from outside the Hall.

Hero? Not at all. Just the Leading Man.

A guard would be good, thank you. If the Apportioners decide to crash our little party, having some warning would be good.
