[ She says nothing. There's nothing she feels she could say. No one was supposed to know. She was never one to indulge in her past, for clear reasons only a handful of people knew. And most of them were back home and away from all this.

She's good at the composure thing, contrary to what everyone just saw. Hey, most would react that way too, watching a beloved and last remaining parent die in their arms like that. So when she lifts her head, Jill will see no tears still. And her fist clenched in resolve. Tifa's expression, though, is hauntingly blank if not controlled. ]

[And that's part of why Jill's been avoiding responding to most people in regards to this event, especially those she doesn't know all that well: sometimes letting them know you saw it does more damage than any words of comfort can undo.

Given that Jill's a master (hurrr) of composure herself, mostly, she notes all those little things in an instant.

But she just repeats, even gentler,] Hey. You okay?

[ There's a moment where she considers telling Jill the truth. They were perfect strangers and there were no obligations to each other that said she needed to divulge anything beyond what was on the surface.

[ Clenches her fist at that voice. Because he's one of the few here - only, really - who knows her story. The only one know knows most if not all of it. So maybe he'd be the one person who won't completely believe her answer. ]

[ There maybe a distant look in her eyes, and a hesitation that she's not exactly sure what to tell him. Whether to smooth over her concerns with empty assurance or to settle on telling him the truth. This wasn't important in the grand scheme of the Underworld. This would not help to bring them closer to home.

She would not burden anyone unnecessarily, if at all. ]

...It's just... Hades doing what he does best, right?
