[ When the tablet turns on it reveals the obviously perplexed expression of a perhaps, familiar to some, face. He'd been walking for awhile, after coming off the boat. Trying his radio, but it had been to no avail- so he'd turned to the only device left after noticing it had audio, video and text functions. Figured if he wasn't having luck with his

Give her two more to dart across her room and seize her tablet, turning on the feed before she's even aligned the view properly.]
Chris?

[ He stops dead, hearing her voice. Last time he'd seen her they'd been being debriefed- and it's been a long while, since then. There's relief though, it's good to see such a familiar face, and one he can trust to fill him in. ]
Jill- Where the hell are you? And where the hell am I?
Reply
And Chris -- if people contact you, listen to them. It sounds crazy, but they're telling the truth.

Jill- what the hell is going on here? [ She's being so damn cryptic! ]

Basics are best.]
This is a large-scale hostage situation. The dock you're at is part of a small city; most of the population is native to the area. The rest were brought here without their knowledge and against their will and are being held here.
There are two individuals responsible that we know of: a male and female who call themselves the Greek gods Hades and Hecate, respectively.

The more she speaks, the more his frown deepens. ]
Guess it's a good thing I came prepared.
[ Referring to the fact he's outfitted in his full gear; one small, saving grace, he supposes. The way she's talking, he doesn't think it's possible for them to be the real Greek gods. That'd be insane, right? ]
Sounds like someone's gone to a lot of trouble just for hostages.

[Now for the fuzzier details.] Most of the people here believe these gods are the genuine article. I... still can't say I'm entirely convinced-- [She glances at him.] --but I do know that they're strong. Far beyond anything you and I have seen, let alone gone up against.
[She looks ahead again.] They have powers. Anything from temporarily planting false memories in our heads to... [She shakes her head.] You name it. Distorting time. Raising the dead -- and I mean really raising the dead, Chris. Not zombies. [Something hard flickers across her face.] Those people are living, breathing. Warm again.

Jesus, Jill. That's a hell of a mouthful to swallow.
[ But she wouldn't lie to him, so he believes her. ]
The dead people- can they talk? [ It sounds impossible. ]

[Another pause, and then another glance.] I've been here four months, so I've had time to take it all in.

Four months?
I'm going to make a guess and say once you're in, there's no easy way getting back out.

So it seems, unless they send you back themselves. There are areas beyond town, but they're filled with creatures originating from the worlds of those trapped here.
[A certain light flashes through her eyes: he should recognize it.] ...They brought in Lickers, Chris. Maybe more things I don't know about yet.

Well, at least they've called in the right tools for the job.
Right, partner?

[She looks ahead and sobers after a moment.] I'm almost there. This line isn't secure; there's something I want to talk to you about in person.

He sighs, and adjusts his stance. Doesn't shut off the tablet, but looks a little anxious where he's waiting. ]

The look on her face is suddenly far from typical: for an instant it's an openly strained, solemn, and uncertain expression, but there's some relief in there, too.
It's Chris.
She's suddenly and painfully aware of how there was just no time for anything back in Kijuju, what with her practically shoving him after Wesker, and then she ended up here and they still haven't had any real time together in years, have they, and... she never even got to thank him for...]

While she's frozen, he's on the move. Everything after Kijuju had been madness; but that's not what he's thinking about, not now. That thing Wesker had on her is gone, she was Jill. The Jill he knew, and trusted through and through.
His greeting comes with a bear hug, a seizing of her pulled to his chest. Letting her know that despite everything, he was still happy to see her. Thinking she was dead had put him through hell. So even despite the circumstances, it was good to see her. ]
Damn, Jill. [ It was all he could say, before he shook his head, and let her go. ]
