Back home Justine had put up with emo Thomas for...longer than she wanted to think about. She could understand his position and how he felt like somehow he'd failed his brother, but really, it was like he had just been wallowing in the despair and self-pity. It broke her heart and annoyed her at the same time. But, that had been back home, it was different here; at least she'd thought it was going to be different. Then, Harry had come back. Harry from her timeline ( ... )

"It's only been a couple of days, and I like this album." His voice was dull, listless but not entirely lifeless. He didn't raise his gaze to her when he spoke, either, but kept staring off into the middle distance, lost in thought. Still, the Hunger didn't allow that train of thought to continue for very long, and his grey eyes turned to her slowly, moving slowly up the voluptuous curves of her calves, her thighs, and finally found her eyes.

The Hunger liked this prospect much more than sitting in the dim lighting listen to music. He reached out and paused the stereo. "I'm sorry," he said lamely.

"A couple of days is already too many." She moved closer to him, slowly lifting her leg up and putting her foot on the top of the stereo. She hated seeing him like this, so shut off from everything, and a part of her hated that he was probably only looking at up at her right now because of the Hunger. At least it meant he was looking at her though, that was an improvement.

"What are you sorry for? Is it for the fact that talking to you right now feels a lot like talking to Eeyore?"

"Yeah, I guess." He heaved a sigh, running his hands over his hair. "I do feel like someone stole my tail." And he moved his hands across his face and down his chin. The Hunger pained to touch her, to take her, to make it know she was his, and for once, he gave in, at least a bit.

He reached out, taking her hand and pulling gently in his direction.
