Back home Justine had put up with emo Thomas for...longer than she wanted to think about. She could understand his position and how he felt like somehow he'd failed his brother, but really, it was like he had just been wallowing in the despair and self-pity. It broke her heart and annoyed her at the same time. But, that had been back home, it was different here; at least she'd thought it was going to be different. Then, Harry had come back. Harry from her timeline.

Of course, that meant that for some reason Harry juts had to tell Thomas about what happened. In detail. More detail than either of them actually knew back home. All Justine and Thomas knew back home was that Harry had died on Thomas' boat. That wasn't even half the story, and here, Thomas had gotten it all. Which meant that Thomas was now sitting in a dark room with My Chemical Romance on repeat.

Justine was fairly certain that she'd heard "The Sharpest Lives" 10 times in the last thirty minutes. If she heard it one more time she was fairly certain she might just smash the cd player. Seriously, this was just getting ridiculous and she couldn't take anymore of it. So, she sauntered into the room, wearing nothing but a large t-shirt, and sang the next line of the song before it even started.

"Juliet loves the beat and the lust it commands," she heaved as that line started to play in the actual song. "How do I know the next line before it starts? Oh, right, because emo-boy here has had My Chemical Romance on repeat forever."

"It's only been a couple of days, and I like this album." His voice was dull, listless but not entirely lifeless. He didn't raise his gaze to her when he spoke, either, but kept staring off into the middle distance, lost in thought. Still, the Hunger didn't allow that train of thought to continue for very long, and his grey eyes turned to her slowly, moving slowly up the voluptuous curves of her calves, her thighs, and finally found her eyes.

The Hunger liked this prospect much more than sitting in the dim lighting listen to music. He reached out and paused the stereo. "I'm sorry," he said lamely.

"A couple of days is already too many." She moved closer to him, slowly lifting her leg up and putting her foot on the top of the stereo. She hated seeing him like this, so shut off from everything, and a part of her hated that he was probably only looking at up at her right now because of the Hunger. At least it meant he was looking at her though, that was an improvement.

"What are you sorry for? Is it for the fact that talking to you right now feels a lot like talking to Eeyore?"

"Yeah, I guess." He heaved a sigh, running his hands over his hair. "I do feel like someone stole my tail." And he moved his hands across his face and down his chin. The Hunger pained to touch her, to take her, to make it know she was his, and for once, he gave in, at least a bit.

He reached out, taking her hand and pulling gently in his direction.

She leaned in against him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Maybe we should go looking for it then."

He laid his head against her shoulder, breathing in her scent but fighting every moment, keeping the Hunger away. Letting it touch her would do nothing but take her away from him, into a fog of bliss. He didn't want that.

At least, not yet. Besides, if she was talking about what he thought she was talking about...

"You want us to go look for Harry?" He scoffed a bit at the thought of his brother being his tail. Well, he did follow him around everywhere like a creepy stalker...

"Maybe." She pressed up against him closer and ran a hand gently through his hair. "Or maybe I would settle for you just attempting to talk to him again." And maybe this time without the animosity that ends with hanging up on each other.

He was quiet for a moment, unconsciously moving his head into her hand as she ran her fingers through his hair. "I guess I can do that."

"Really?" She looked at him and smile. "That was a lot easier than I actually expected it to be."

He sighed and shrugged. "Well, we're sort of stuck here."

She hit him on the shoulder with the back of a hand. "So, you mean you have to talk to him because you don't have any choice?"

He smiled slightly. "No. That was a joke."

"Sometimes I'm not sure who tells worse jokes, you or Harry." She's smiling when she says that though, clearly teasing him. At least partially, really they both have lame senses of humor.

"Ouch," he placed his free hand over his head and made a pained expression, but it didn't last. He smiled a bit after a moment.

"As long as you don't start making up random names for creatures you see, you're ahead of Harry." But the minute Thomas started creating words for things like Harry did, he might pull ahead of his brother in Justine's ranking of who is dorkier. Not that she really minded the dorkyness, actually she kinda found it cute.

He laughed at that. "I'm firmly of the opinion things have perfectly good names already."
