The fact that Castiel did not actually sense Misaki until she'd called out to him instantly worried him. After an uncomfortable conversation with Dean, Castiel had taken, once again, to hiding. (He didn't especially like to call it hiding, but even he could admit when he was doing it.) In truth, though, he hadn't retreated as far as he had after the rescues. This was a simple trek into the Forest, in an attempt to alleviate stress by killing hellhounds.
It was a tried and true process.
He turned at Misaki's call and took flight, landing a few feet behind her and to the side -- the opposite side she had her pistol -- and spoke quietly. "I am here."
She would never become used to Castiel appearing so quickly, especially when she expected him on the other side of her. Still, it was not an enemy so she holstered her pistol and slid her tablet back into her shoulder bag. It was not that hard to guess part of the reason why Castiel was in the forest. She knew he came around often to relieve stress by killing the creatures nearby. It was the why that had her curious.
He cocked his head to the side and shrugged one shoulder. "Early or late hardly matters when one does not sleep." That wasn't completely true; he'd taken to napping now and again, but the last time he'd slept more than a couple hours was when his power had been returned so disastrously. He perhaps should rest again, as difficult as certain things that used to be second nature were becoming, but when one never needed to sleep before, it was hard to come up with any sort of schedule.
He furrowed his brow, looking her over. "Is my work holding?"
"That must be nice." She took a moment to take a good look at him, trying to figure out was wrong. Something just felt off. What was it though? Misaki was hardly trained enough with her powers to pinpoint it so tried to push the curiosity away. Unfortunately that was a task that was much easier said than done. She made a mental note to try and ask what was wrong later. She would not press the topic but she had to at least try.
"Your work is holding up nicely. Thank you again for that. I have to admit that I have not been able to test it as much as I would like, however, it probably saved my life when those nightmares occurred."

"Good morning, Castiel."
She looked up at him with her normal poker face.
"It is a little early to be fighting, is it not?"
