The dog had stolen something from her, that was all Laura cared about. It had stolen her locket, the one thing that actually held any value to Laura. She had to retrieve it. The dogs scent lead her to the back of a building she recognized as the home of a group of people from the same world. There was someone outside, she could hear him whistling and it gave her pause. Was he looking for the dog as well?

She watched Shinjiro for a moment before actually moving to approach him.

"Did you see a dog?"

Shinjiro calmly turned towards the source of the voice; it was familiar, but much clearer being heard in person. The surprise showed in his gaze, but only briefly.

"Yeah. He yours?"

Laura's own expression revealed very little about what she may or may not be thinking about. She blinked at his question before answering.

"No."

It just caught her eye, he supposed.

"Hopefully it doesn't get hurt or killed."
