What; Shinjiro goes searching for a dog, and finds Laura instead.

It wasn't the smartest thing to do, but curiosity combined with the nature of the Underworld gave Shinjiro cause for concern. He had walked past his only window inside his dorm room, and saw a wiry brown and white dog with short hair walking around outside the building, scratching at the ground with its paw and sniffing the dirt. It didn't look sickly, but it did look lost.
If he was concerned with common sense, the canine idling nearby made him ignore it for the time being. Dogs were one of his favorite animals, possibly even a weakness to his cold exterior and tough demeanor. He wondered if there were animals native to the Underworld that were also found back home. He imagined anything calling this hellhole home would look the part, like a monster or zombie. The dog looked too out of place, though.
Though the teen was still a little sore from the rescue, he decided to go see if the dog was friendly and would come to him. He went downstairs, stopping by the refrigerator to swipe a doggie peace offering of leftover meat, then went out the front door. He stopped for moment with concern, then remembered that Akihiko was with Mitsuru, so she would have someone looking out for her.
He would only be out for a few minutes. Or so he thought. He went around the back of the building and began to whistle.
