The Roadhouse had taken a fair amount of damage during the violent tremors that had shaken the city and badly rattled most residents. Shattered beer glasses were swept into a pile on the floor, next to a bin that contained cracked, broken, and otherwise useless bottles of liquor. There was a noise from the back as Ellen came out, pushing a broom, a distinctly sour expession on her face and a long jagged gash across her forehead.

"Right here Dean," she said, her voice reflecting her fatigue. "Glad those damned quakes finally stopped. You and the rest of the guys all right? Have you checked in with Anna?"

"Yeah, we're good. Anna and Cas didn't take it so good, but they're doin' better now that it's over. Place is a freakin' mess. Jo in the back?" He asked it casually, he didn't want to alarm her, but now that he had spoken to her and made a round to see that Mary's house as well as both Elena's had stayed intact, Dean was getting a little worried.

Jo was the only one still not here and he didn't like that, he stepped in and lifted a chair up , righting a table as he went. "Gonna take us a bit to clean this crap up, but we'll get the place back up and runnin'."

Ellen scowled and continued the monumental task of cleaning up the Roadhouse. "'course it's a damned mess, Dean. These quakes kicked the hell out of us the last couple of days and broke damn near every piece of glass in the whole place."

She swiped at the gash on her forehead, "I sent her back to the house before the tremors got too bad."

A cold feeling settled in the pit of her stomach.

No. Dear God not again.

"Dean?"

Dean's hand froze, to the house, but he'd been by there. Jo wasn't there, of course that shouldn't have come as a surprise. She had a habit of not doing exactly what she was told.

When Ellen said his name the hunter swallowed "She ain't there...." He knew he couldn't lie to Ellen and Dean steeled himself for that look he knew would be on her face when he turned around.

"I'm gonna go look for her." He was already walking for the door, if Jo wasn't here or at home, well then that meant she could be in bigger trouble than she knew what to do with.

Her mothers instructions were sort of followed, she had been back to the house. Just long enough to get supplies and head out. There were other people in the Underworld, some not as equipped as others. There was a period between quakes in which Jo thought that the city was in the clear.

That was when she headed out, things went south and she had gotten caught in one of the rumbles, her stuff had been dropped in the excitement to escape falling rocks and other objects from the cave they called home. Now she was good and stuck behind some rocks. It was small just enough for her to move a little bit and mostly dark all she had was her pocket pen light.

Pushing on the rocks did little to nothing, so she would yell and hope that some one heard.

"He's takin' care of Anna right now, I know where she is. She went to that damn chasm." Because at her heart, Jo was a hunter, her family was different from Dean's only in that it was her father who died, and her mother had raised her, not out on the road like John had. But the same drive and determination that was in Dean's veins, in every hunters veins ran through Jo's as well and he knew it.

"C'mon." He knew Ellen would follow and when they reached the location of the chasm, Dean was wary. There had been some nasty things coming out of there, but off to the side a glimpse of something caught his eye. It was Jo's gear, the hunter was off and running, to make sure.

"Son of a bitch." He didn't hesitate, he knew Ellen would be right behind him and as he inspected the ground Dean called her name "JO!"

"The chasm? Why?"

Ellen felt sick. The hell did she keep doing wrong for Jo to run off on her like that? She knelt by the gear, rifling through it. She couldn't lose her. Not again. Not so soon.

Ruthlessly stamping down on a swell of panic she raised her head. "Joanna Beth!"

She had managed to get her self banged up pretty well, it was too dark to see how bad she really had gotten it, but she could feel the sting of some injuries and the burning ache of others.

She adjusted the small flash light between her teeth, her hands pressing against the rocks. Faintly she could hear Dean yelling for her, then her mother.

" In here!" she yelled dropping the flash light and banging her hand against the rocks.
