Castiel was so weary and sore that he imagined that, perhaps, there were some extra, more hidden injuries rearing their heads. He wouldn't be surprised, though he hadn't been sleeping well anyway and had been halfway across the Underworld and back, trying to keep up with everything that had been happening. For the first time in a long time, he actually wanted to sleep.

But now he really couldn't. Of course.

He took the beer Sam offered, carefully and little slowly. His wrist was still swollen. At least he hadn't managed to break anything in his left hand. "It's the third day. It's either close to the end or halfway there."

"I'm going to hope that we're close to the end." Sam sat down across from him, frowning. "Do you need an ice pack?" The swelling was worrying, but they'd done as much as they could. "Do you think the injuries will disappear once it's over? Or will people have to heal them up all over again?"

If it was the latter, they could be somewhat screwed. Even with healers.

"It's fine." It wasn't, but there was little he could do about it. With any luck, the injuries would heal as soon as the Underworld deigned that the experiment was over. That said...

"I hope that's the case, but I don't plan on it."

He looked at Castiel for a moment. "In that case, once things calm down a little, make sure to have somebody look at your hand." Preferably somebody with healing abilities. The way this place sprung things on them, being unable to use his dominant hand would be a bad thing. "I'm just looking forward to not having to think about this place stabbing me in the back."
