It didn't take all that long for Allen to get down to the garden, and he thought ruefully as he hurried after Cyanna that he'd be more in shape than ever because of her. It was good to see her happy, though - she was always a little ill at ease in the confines of his room, and seemed to relax as soon as they got out into the hallway.

It was fairly easy to spot the huge, lovely wolf prowling the garden, and Allen stopped next to Cyanna, drawing a breath in awe. "She's beautiful," he murmured, not having seen the garden's other occupant just yet. Cyanna huffed in grudging agreement, bobbing her head in what looked almost like a greeting when the wolf's eyes turned towards them.

He heard someone murmur something, and looked up from his omnipresent notebook; for half a moment Germany's heart stopped, and his mouth opened--for there, in the company of a beautiful doe, was someone who almost looked like Prussia, Ludwig's older brother. Same short, wild silver hair... but the eyes were blue and did not appear insane, and the clothing was different from Gilbert's usual uniform. Ludwig composed himself, closed the notebook, and rose. One hand automatically moved to smooth down his uniform tunic.

"Allen Walker and Cyanna, I presume?" he called out, and bowed slightly. "I am Ludwig Weillschmidt, and this is Schatzi." He gestured toward the wolf, who deigned to return to his side and stood there eyeing the newcomers with a measuring look. "Thank you for joining us!"

Allen returned the bow, and smiled warmly at both of them. "It's a pleasure, Mr. Weillschmidt," he returned, somehow managing to get the name out without stumbling over it, and sending a quick prayer of thanks for the brief time he and his master had spent in Germany. "And a pleasure to meet you as well, Schatzi," he added, nodding to the wolf. Next to him, Cyanna was trembling slightly, but she did dare to take a few steps forward, ducking her head in something that looked almost like a bow in the wolf's direction.

"This is Cyanna," Allen said, and there was no mistaking the fondness in his tone as those silvery-blue eyes looked at the doe. He reached out to rest a hand on her back, and she turned her head to look at him with those liquid brown eyes, making him melt a little and nearly forget where he was.

"A pleasure," Schatzi said in a rolling, growling voice somehow perfectly suited to her German accent. "Do not be afraid--I have promised not to attack anyone who refrains from attacking my Nation."

Ludwig gave her an indulgent look. "As if I am not capable of defending myself," he retorted fondly. "Really, she is like some sort of mother, I swear!" He gazed at the beautiful doe and smiled faintly. Probably not a good idea to talk about how I love and miss hunting, he thought. Schatzi gave a snort of amusement, having picked up on his ponderings; Ludwig immediately blushed, hoping Cyanna had not heard it as well.

"So, Herr Walker!" he exclaimed, gesturing toward the benches. "We have not had a chance to speak before; have you been here long?"

Still grinning from the exchange between the wolf and Ludwig, and completely unaware of the thoughts crossing his companion's mind, Allen took the gesture for the invitation it was and moved to sit on one of the benches, Cyanna following closely. They hadn't experimented with getting distance between them since their accidental discovery of how painful it was - now Cyanna stuck as close to Allen as she could, and he hadn't even the slightest objection to the arrangement.

"Not terribly long," he answered once he was seated comfortably. "A couple of months, perhaps, which I hear is quite a short time compared to how long some people have been here. How about you?"
