Tell me something good!

Sep 05, 2007 09:04

I am having a bad morning.

Instead of whining about it, I'm going to do something different.

Tell me something good! It can be about anything, any level of good and even things I don't understand. I could just use some happy, positive, lively energy.

So, go comment!

A lot of my new physics class appears to be automated. It appears there are built in mini-quizzes for each section that grade themselves and immediately put scores into the gradebook. I hope the entire class isn't like this (both because that might be boring for me and not good for students) but I'm very happy that the easy straightforward stuff is taken care of in a way that students get feedback quickly and automatically.

I sent an overly large beanbag to my coworkers sister (the one I had a fun date with on mission beach, dunno if I told u of it) and she made a facebook video out of her floor (she's an RA) having fun with the huge box and beanbag which was quite hilarious. I have sent people random things like that recently just for the hell of it, creating positive energy in the world abound =)
What's your office address? ;)

Good reminder. I may have ordered someone this http://www.cafepress.com/buy/wikipedia/-/pv_design_prod/p_558296.18988370/pNo_18988370/id_6699254/fpt_/opt_/c_360/pg_1 this morning.

That made me feel good. Partly because I know it will be an enjoyed gift, and partly because it's been on my to do list for months and now it's not anymore!

I ate cookies for breakfast!

...Okay, that's not 'good,' per se, but it made me happy. :)

On Sunday, at Camp Carp, they were having Black Sabbath Brunch (sound system provided by the Space Cowboys' Unimog) and I got a pancake.

A pancake covered in Froot Loops and Gummi Bears. With Syrup.

There's a way to start off a sunday. Metal and Sugar.

Froot Loop rice krispy treats are the way to go. I imagine they're delicious on Pancakes as well.

I miss Pitzer food.

Yesterday I was parking my car, and a guy came up and gave me an hour of free parking because he said I had a good, liberal bumper sticker and looked nice (and he was about to leave and an hour was left on his parking).

That was really positive; it was really nice to have a stranger be so neighborly

The dust and the wind and the fire and the sun and the elements are still in my blood. The remnants of the Temple of Forgiveness still echoing prayers of desert pilgrims. Things are changing, as they always were, and as they always will be.

This too shall pass.

Or, on a sillier slide, backflips and buttercups! Cheer up cutie.
