I STILL hate the end of the semester-
Apparently, I need no help justifying the half-assing of my paper writing and exam preparation, because instead of working on either of these things, I have been on Facebook all morning (and much of yesterday), having discussions like this one:

I hate the end of the semester-
Quick! Someone remind me/help me justify that half-assing the writing of my remaining paper and the preparation for my last exam is a perfectly acceptable course of action. -
Friends-only! W00t.
I think I'm taking this journal to almost exclusively friends-only status.
Because I want only those closest to me to be privy to my rock star exploits.
Or because I just feel like it. It's tough to say. -

Halle-freakin'-lujah! The paper about which I lamented earlier has finally been completed. Now, all that really remains as a source of panic is Thursday's assessment final, which will be on something like thirteen chapters, none of which I have had time to read. Woohoo!

Ugh...once again, I am caught in the throes of finals, and once again, I am convinced that there is no way I will be able to complete all the work I need to complete. Yay for being paralyzed by fear! Basically, I need to complete a paper by tomorrow, and complete and closely scrutinize a ridiculously long study guide for a final exam this coming ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday, my brother's first competitive showjumper died. He's always been prone to colic, and when Christian and I arrived at the pasture to bring him back inside, he was showing signs of exactly that. Please tell me that when that Gap commercial featuring Claire Danes and Patrick Wilson frolicking around comes on, I'm not the only one who sits there riveted, devouring it with my eyes from beginning to end, as though I've never seen it before. I'm sitting in the Curriculum Resource Center on a lovely Florida Saturday, working on a paper that's due on Monday (well, "working on it" is a loose translation of what I'm actually doing with the paper, which is a little closer to "preparing to get started on the title page").
