I think that's definitely why most of them hate Rin. @_@
I have definitely noticed Rin getting a lot more liked, though. ^^ She's pretty popular now.

I know how you feel. I get that way too. I tend to get very protective over characters I feel get bashed for no good reasons.

I'm a little mystified by this. What happened? Did I miss something completely in fandom? Or was my preoccupation with Akito really that blinding?*?
I ended up commenting, but... the whole thing lacked bite. Pretty sedate wank, if anything.

I expected a sort of backlash following Rin's appearance in the English edition of Fruits Basket, but I really didn't see anything negative directed towards her. Maybe it's because that despite Rin's closed-off demeanor and aggressive qualities, it was clear from the very beginning that she was a victim of something, and she was doing what she was doing for a reason that probably had to do with why she got hurt. If anything, I noticed the number of Rin fans rising, which is cool. ^_^
