Cute kittehs are cute!

And we have yet to put up our Christmas tree (which has no name. It's just 'Christmas Tree').

We have to find a way to kitty proof it, however, since the three-year-old likes to get into things. We stopped into a natural pet store earlier today, and they may have something in there that will deter climbing.

Eeeeeeee! Aren't they adorable with their little name tags! *is ded from cute*

I don't remember our kitties bothering the tree. I was looking back at old Christmas pictures, however, and was greatly amused to realize that when Katie was 13 months old we put the *tree* in a play pen to keep her away from it. ;)

I really, really hope your camera is named after Dr. Reid. ;)

They are devastatingly cute. *^^* And so is the mental picture of your tree in a playpen!

And yep, that is indeed where our Spencer's name comes from. Back when we got him, I was reading Criminal Minds recaps that referred to the show's way of filming Reid's perspective/brilliance/intuition as "Spencer cam", so it seemed the thing to do. ^_^

very cute kittens icon. I hope you use them often :) so dignified, both of them. Something about kittens and baby animals that make one melt. Aww.

*g* Jinksy is only dignified in still photos, I'm afraid! But Claudia has actual dignity.

Awesome cats. I think they really lucked out, getting humans like you. :D

Here is my template for embedding photos:

(EDITED to make the code visible. All the [ ] are actually the triangles that are next to the M key)
[caption align="bottom"]CAPTION GOES HERE[/caption]
PICTURE INFO FROM THE SITE IT'S HOSTED ON (LIKE PHOTOBUCKET) GOES HERE

[p]NEW PARAGRAPH STARTS HERE

I hope that helps. :) I can give you more info about hosting pictures elsewhere if you like.

They're such amazing little beasties! *^^*

Thank you! I'll give the code a test run when I get home from work. ^_^

You're very welcome. I've had lots of success with it. :)

Seriously, I think that domesticating cats is one of the best things humanity ever did.

I am having...partial success! I made a private post on Dreamwidth using this code (only with HTML brackets instead of the squared ones):
[caption align="bottom"]Claudia[/caption]
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ozzlsck7a1kfvdl/2013-10-20_18-26-59-62.JPG

[p]Test post of a pic of Claudia!

and the post shows the caption and bottom text, but shows a (working) link to the image on Dropbox rather than embedding the picture. Can you tell from that what I'm doing wrong? (If not, no worries!)

I can't get over how wonderful it is to finally be living with cats again. I've missed it so much. Being able to have cats that my husband can live with (allergy-wise) and having ours turn out to be these particularly clever, darling cats? It's practically miraculous. *^^*
