I so should have saved this until I got home but it is a fic by you so of course I cannot resist. It is a terrible thing to be stifling your reactions in the lab while people may query about why you are so affected by fanfiction of a fictional character.

There are things that slipped out from those cracks, fragile precious things, like hope and innocence and on more than one occasion, life. There are things that sniffed the cracks out, and slipped in, cracking them wider. Demons, darkness, despair, death.
