ICON PROGRESSION 2016.
Another year goes by. Not the best of the years for me and for the world as well, and I'm glad it's almost over. I dropped my studies, I had health issues and I've been fired from a temporal job for being sick. I found that out today and I'm still shocked, but I'm not surprised this year ends like this. I know it was temporal, but I liked it there and I'm sad. And of course, the worst death of them all after Beth's. Glenn. I'm still grieving. At least some good things happened in the way. I watched a lot of new shows that I deeply enjoyed like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Stranger Things and The OA. I know some of these aren't new but I'm glad I watched them! I also opened my first challenge community, theseasonwheel and I'm so glad you guys seem to like it as much as I do. It seems I'm earning some money with my society6 and redbubble stores. I seriously need to make more things for it because it's so cool. Even though there's a lot of supertalented people there, I'm glad that some people like my graphics and they actually are spending money on them. That's a great feeling.
2016 icons are not great. I started this year with a lot of positive vibes and super inspired. I think I made my favorite icons in the first months of this year. Then the inspiration started to drop and I ended up making less and less icons, less quality and less everything, so I think I haven't progressed much this year. I depend too much on wheather I'm inspired in the moment or not. Someone suggested somewhere to make icons while being drunk. I think it's interesting and I may give it a chance next year when I'm healthier and off my meds, lol.
Enough rambling for now. Here we go.
JANUARY.
Started with a new show in hand, Shadowhunters. I'm usually more inspired with new caps and a fresh new show to work with, so I started well the year. And also first round at 10in30. I love that community and I was inspired by it. And the second post was for 20muses. I love that community so much and it inspired my every single round I participied. I think I made my best icons for that community, so I'm thankful for that and I hope both communities come back soon. I'm really satisfied with these icons.

FEBRUARY.
The first four icons were made in January and are part of an icon dump. A lot of bold and vibrant colors, I really like them. I started drawing strands of hair and I like doing it so much, it relaxes me a lot and I think they look really cool on some icons. I also made my favorite icon during this month, the one where Angel!Beth is holding Daryl. It is simple but it means a lot. I loved it so much that I remade it to bigger canvas and now I'm selling it on society6 and redbubble and I'm surprised that it's one of the best sellers of my graphics, so it means a lot. I also had to buy it printed as a tote bag just because.

MARCH.
On February I reached 200 watchers, so of course I had to celebrate! I made a request post and I like how some turned out. Also the February icon dump. The second post is one I'm still proud of. It was for a 20muses round and I choose color green. I had such a great time making these icons and I love the overall result. naginis became a big inspiration and she is very present in these icons.

APRIL.
Monthly icon dump. I really like the first icon. Somehow I started to understand how to make vibrant icons and I like it. I also started to experiment with shadows on full body subject's and stuff. And this was the month I decided I needed to watch Daredevil. I'm not very fond on superhero stuff and years ago I saw the movie and I didn't like it. I just liked Elektra as a character. Well, since I now love the show, I'm more than grateful I decided to watch it and can't wait for The Defenders, The Punisher and the next season! I love netflix so much. An since it was new to me, and the screencaps of this show are amazing, I enjoyed a lot to make icons of it.

MAY.
And of course after watching Daredevil, I just had to watch Jessica Jones and... holy shit! I think I love it even a bit more than Daredevil. I love Jessica as a character, she's badass and this show reminds me somehow a bit of Buffy. Just an icon dump this month, but I'm satisfied with the results. I like how the third icon turned out since I'm not good with text and I loved how I managed to pull it off. The second post for the last round of 20muses I took part and I still love that first icon of Daredevil.

JUNE.
No icons in June since I made tutorials for Ask the Maker activity. Here are the icons I made tutorials of and the links if you're interested. Proud I finished it this time :)

JULY.
And here is where the inspiration ends. Less and less icons and everytime I tried to make icons I ended up with no inspiration whatsoever. Although I started making icons with stock and I like some of the results. Icon dump from May and June. I think I had a thing for yellow back then.

SEPTEMBER.
No icons for the rest of the summer. Inspiration didn't come easily in comparision with the first months of the year. I still like some of these even if they're just a few, I'm especially proud of the second one. And as I said before, I'm usually more inspired with new caps to work with and I just watched Stranger Things, so I had that to work with. I wasn't sure about it at first but decided to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did! Can't wait for the next season!

Another little icon dump. It has more alts than icons, but if you know my work, you know I always end up with lots of alts, so nothing new. Also a tutorial on how to make animated icons.

Thank you for watching this community and for your nice comments. I don't know how many times they saved me from a shitty day. I love the icon community so much and how we all know each other. I know we don't really know anything about everyone in here, but it's not like tumblr or any other anonymous site on the Internet. I feel like we're a little family and I get to be myself with you all when reality is just too much, so thank you for that.
Oh, and since I won't be making a December dump because I only made one icon (and the alts, of course lol), so here it is. Happy new year guys, I hope you find what you're looking for in 2017.
