Never again say that you can't do angst, because that was AMAZING. You've got the perfect pitch, angsty enough that we know what the characters are going through, but not this big overdone problem that's just an excuse to get the boys into bed. I never thought before about the correlation between Beth Botrelle and Victoria, but that's a perfect jumping off point for the conversation. I love all the different ways that Ray has of getting information out of Fraser, that he can use all his interrogation techniques and still be behaving like a good friend. You really captured Fraser's voice too, the way even from his POV we still have to pick up subtle hints about his feelings, because he won't admit them even to himself.

If I listed everything else about this story I liked I'd never finish, but in conclusion; I LOVE THIS!

No, really, angst is the hardest thing for me to write. I guess that's why I find it easier from Fraser's POV. But your comment has made me so incredibly happy, because the effort seems to have paid off.

wow, I clicked with this version of Fraser telling Ray about Victoria. Normally Fraser breaking down doesn't appeal to me, and i hate to see him like this, but you pulled off everything just right. I just can't get over the intense Fraser we get to see here. I think they are spot on character wise, for the situation.

I hate Fraser being broken, too, but it does kind of fascinate me that he's breakable. I'm just glad it worked, especially for someone who isn't into this kind of Fraser.

This is really excellent. I've always wondered how much of the Metcalf case Kowalski actually knew about and whether Fraser and he actually had a conversation about it and this really sounds like them. Does Fraser actually say that he and Victoria made love while he was bringing her in the first time? (I'm asking you because I'm too cowardly to go back and watch the episode.)
