When Don came into the family home, he immediately felt something strange.
“You're sure it will not bother Charlie?”
“I am sure, Colby. You couldn’t foresee that the plumbing of your building was going to break. How long will they be working?”
“Two weeks.” They heard a noise followed by a moan. Don and Colby, anxious for Charlie, took hold of their weapons and climbed upstairs. Arriving at the door of Charlie's room, they listened and blushed
“Yes! Harder! Ian!”
“You like this, Charlie? Is that why your nails are digging into my back? Why your legs are so tight around me?”
“Yes! YES! YES!”
“Charlie?”
“I want to ride you Ian.” They heard a groan and then the sounds produced by two bodies rubbing.
“Charlie ... Charlie ... You've been a naughty boy, flirting with me for all this time ...” Charlie's laughter rang out.
“You do not know how long I want to fuck you Ian. I’ve waited for years.”
“No more waiting. Never. Oh yes! Charlie! Faster!” A few minutes passed and two screams of pleasure were heard. And the words of Charlie while he was covering Ian with kisses astonished the two men hiding behind the door.
“Oh my God, I love you so much Ian.” Ian was surprised but quickly corrected himself and threw his arms around the young man who had declared his love.
“I love you too, Charlie.” Colby and Don came down as quietly as possible and left the house to go to their car.
“I can’t believe it, Ian and Charlie.”
“What I don’t understand is why he never said anything to us! We are family! We would have stood by him! I would have stood by him!” Colby gave a sympathetic smile.
“I believe that Charlie thought it was too outside the norm because of his genius. Too smart, not sociable enough. Charlie's life isn’t that of normality. And you can say whatever you want the definition of a family is always mom, dad and children.” Don sighed, knowing that his agent was right.
“How can you know all this, Colby?”
“Oh! Charlie said it to me”. Don saw red.
“Why did he say it to you?” Colby tried to be as diplomatic as possible.
“Three 'main' reasons but, hey, I guess you can find all the other little reasons behind: Kim, the synagogue, Buck.” The anger of Don lowered a bit.
“It's not fair, I already gave my explanation and he has accepted.”
“Sure. I think we should try ringing now.” Colby got out of the car and rang. A few seconds later, Ian opened.
“Colby! What a pleasant surprise. Come in. And Don. You have the keys, right?”
“Yeah but he was faster. What are you doing here, Ian?”
“Oh, Charlie invited me to camp here when he knew I didn’t rent a room. He is in the bathroom, I'll tell him you’re here.” Ian came up and tapped on the door of the bathroom.
“Charlie, your brother and Colby are there.”
“I'm coming!” A few minutes later, he left the bathroom and went downstairs. “Don, Colby! What's happening?”
“Ah! This would be my fault. My apartment has had a small accident and I wanted to know if you could lodge me?”
“Sure, no problem. I think I'll stay hooked to the boards anyway, for Ian’s case. It will be sure enough that I will fall asleep in the garage.” Ian's eyes froze for a moment. Did His boyfriend need to be as ambiguous in his remarks also. He paused to think for a moment. His boyfriend. It sounded very good. He should take a ride in the garage, when everyone in the house was asleep.
“Thank you, Charlie!”
“There is no problem Colby, I am always happy to help a friend. You will take Donnie’s room. If he wants to sleep here, you would have to share the bed.” Charlie smiled into his cup.
“Chuck!”
“Bah! You've heard, haven’t you?” Don and Colby blushed.
“How do you know?”
“Maybe I was focused on your brother but I am still one of the best trackers in the country. I've heard you.” Charlie got up.
“Well, it good for me!” And he sat down on Ian's lap and snuggled against him. “What? I'm not allowed to hug my boyfriend?” Don stared at the ceiling and sighed.
“It is just weird, Chuck!”
“Do not call me Chuck! Show your room to Colby, I'm going to start my voodoo for Ian.”
“Since when do you call your math voodoo, whizkid?”
“Take a guess, Colby!” Charlie said with a smile. He rose and walked toward the garage. “Ian! Bring that file to the garage and put your stuff in my room!” Ian chuckled but got up anyway.
“Yes, dear!” And he left alone Don and Colby.
“Well, Don, where is your room? ... It comes out so badly.” complained Colby. His superior replied.
“It would seem worse if you asked me to show you my bed.” The two officers went to Don’s bedroom and Don found himself thinking that Colby would seem good on his bed. 'Keep your fantasies to yourself Eppes; he is as straight as anyone can be.' And Don was disappointed.
