So it’s been ages since I posted anything in LJ. Sorry about that, but my thesis deadline looms large and my advisor keeps giving me extra work.  It is coming along, but it's also all consuming at the moment. In the mean time here is a quick list of the things that have been happening in my life:

1: Petra left on Wednesday to move to Prague. (

i'm glad we all got to go down there last year too. it may be the last time you would have had the opportunity to have the trip you did. i'm sure new orleans will survive, but it will never be the same.
john is fine... playing the nomad at the moment. he and all his buddies evacuated and they're couch-hopping for a few weeks throughout the southeast.
