I don't think it's as likely as it seems that Jezza is going to win on first preferences, but I do think it's pretty likely he's going to win at this point and I'll have to go an hug Andy and be sad. I do remember the last time around that there was at least a feeling that Ed was in with a chance. I hope I'm wrong ( ... )

It seems pretty likely that Labour are going to scrap the whole £3 and vote thing

Particularly if enough stories, whether with basis or not, like this one about a Tory activist fraudulently getting 3 votes while Mark Steele got rejected outright get spread around.

Yeah. Their system seems to have been unreasonably optimistic, which is something I usually associate more with the Lib Dems.

Mark Steel was part of the SWP who advised people to vote Green so I can see why they'd withdraw his voting privileges. But yeah it's up to 1/5 voters being counted as suspicious. I say they delay the whole thing and leave it til January.

1. No idea. Some of the local bookies still have Andy on the best odds to win, others are boasting that they're taking bets on who Corbyn will have in his Cabinet.

2. Every single one of them is a secret Mandelson bot created by The Machine to write in "Tony Blair" on every form in an attempt to render the election invalid.

3. The Labour Party is always a mass of in-fighting, underhand plots and temper tantrums. Whoever wins, the party will still remain the same.

In other news IDS is in trouble because DWP leaflets including "quotes" from "real benefits claimants" turned out to be made up and using stock photos. Apparently having your benefits cut doesn't encourage you to redo your CV. Who knew? Perhaps the youth unemployment boot camps will be a better idea?

The Foreign Office wanted to project a # onto the side of Parliament for an awareness-raising campaign. They got permission from Bercow to do it, but Westminster Council refused.

Also Yvette is driving me up the flipping wall.

Yvette, last week: "Oh noes! If Jeremy wins it will destroy Labour and the country! We have to stop that from happening at any cost! We have a moral duty to win elections! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!"

Andy, last week: *Thinks of the children. Sucks up to Jeremy supporters so he has at least a chance of winning the election and saving the children. Triangulates and listens to the message the voters are sending, as NuLab are so keen for people to do.*

Yvette: "YOU SPINELESS TRAITOR HOW DARE YOU SAY NICE THINGS ABOUT CORBYN!"
Yvette: "Also plz 2nd preference me! kthx (◡‿◡✿) "

Andy: Yeah, okay, that's going to send a bunch of my 1st prefs straight to Jeremy causing him to win in Round 1. How about no.Andy: "Maybe we should let people make their own minds up ( ... )
