Go to Decatur Street between Ursulines and Gov Nichols (towards the Esplanade side of the Quarter)! Several good bars there: Molly's, Pravda, Ruby Fruit. And/or you can walk down to Esplanade, take a right and go to the Dragon's Den. That's where the cool people are at.

Sadly I was only there for a weekend bachelor party. I shall return though!
