Hola, chicos!

Hey, brief update. I got a new laptop and I love it. It's a Toshiba Satellite and it's all mine! No more accidentally claiming Todd's laptop* and having him fuss at me. Once I determined that my laptop worked and everything seemed okay, I littered the front and inside with a variety of stickers. I heart stickers ( Read more... )

Oooh good luck with LASIK! It's amazing to be able to see without glasses.

I'm really sorry about your grandmother.

Hey, did you have Lasik done? When? Did you use TLC?

Thank you for your sympathy. Hers was an unexpected death. :(

I'm glad to know that someone still reads this! :) How are you?

Glad to hear no elbow cancer for you.

K does the same thing -- her house, her car. I do find it vaguely upsetting, but I try not to let it get to me.

Computer class -- sounds like fun! What are you taking?

Hey Melvin, how are you? I'm taking a ridiculously rudimentary computer class; ITE115. It involves the super basics of computer functionality and it's also quite Microsoft Office 2010-centric. We're learning Word, Excel and Power Point. It's really boring. :)

Nice to hear from you, Melvin! I hope you're having a good week!

Hi there! I acknowledge that I don't have any data to back this up, but I got the impression you already knew your way around a computer. Why the really boring class?

Well, I do know my way around a computer somewhat but the Liberal Arts degree requires that I take a computer class and I had to choose between two. One is the one I'm taking, which is super boring (only because we go over the same information over and over and over and over ad nauseum) but will be super useful when I want to *do* office work and use the Office Suite that we're studying. The other class is a bit more advanced and I wasn't comfortable assuming that I could manage in that class, since I had never even heard of the programs that class teaches.

Also, hello! :)
