"She speaks Latin! What a woman!"
Djaq blushed and dipped her eyes. Her head jerked up guiltily as she caught Will looking at her.
"What? It is hot work, moving these provisions!"
Yes, that was it. She was hot. She was most certainly not reacting to a compliment like a giggling girl. She never blushed when one of the gang paid her a compliment.
Not that they ever did.
Djaq sighed. She couldn't ask them to not treat her like a woman and then complain when they didn't treat her like a woman.
But once in a while wouldn't hurt...
