I've been listening to NPR (which, for those in my area, is on I think 91.1 and 91.3 FM) for the past few years. They are rather good, and even when they show bias, they try to focus on completeness in facts (and completeness is good if you want to make up your own mind about stuff). I've kinda stopped listening, because I've developed some sort of shell shock from the constant focus on political infighting.

A few weeks ago, 91.5 FM picked up BBC News in the morning. While I got pissed off, since that essentially cancelled my favourite Jazz show, it turns out that BBC radio is rather good. Maybe it just feels better because it doesn't focus on local tensions, though, but I usually feel well informed without feeling pressured after giving it a listen.

There's also, on 90.1 WUSB, FSRN (Free Speech Radio News), which focuses a lot on international stuff, but they're a bit hippie-ish for this crowd....

And I eat my peanut butter out of the jar. ^_^
