Okay...i SWEAR i remember seeing in an episode or a clip Chakotay (i think) at a sink with running water. If there's no running water, how does Janeway's bath bidness work? I NEED TO KNOW.

Aside from my epic failure, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I almost cut that last line too, actually, but decided to spare a little love for my OTP instead of leaving her anonymous love, well, anonymous. So very glad you enjoyed it. :)

First of all, you do *not* fail at life! Regarding the showers, you are both correct. There are the conventional showers and sinks with running water, mind you water consumption is limited and recycled, which made it all the more fitting that you had her fill the sink instead leave the water running. ;) Sonic showers clean people at a molecular level and is B'lanna's preffered way of showering. There was one scene in an episode where you get to see her standing in it and you actually see the dirt particles lift away from her skin (dirty and sexy at the same time). *shows that I really am a dork* :P

The Captain’s marital union to Voyager in her dreamscape does a fantastic job of mirroring her reality. There’s an understandable correlation between her responsibility to get her ship and crew home and the restriction her responsibility places on her heart. You’ve captured how Janeway is torn between the two, which speaks volumes about her role as an honorable, commanding officer and as a woman in love.

Nicely-paced escalation of Janeway’s thoughts to arrive at this potent conclusion:…imagining instead an alternative life in which she is able to be Captain Janeway and also the lover of her Chief Engineer.

For a newbie in this 'verse you nailed a lot of the lingo and even more of the essence of Captain Janeway. "Vows" is deliciously unrequited and unresolved. Thanks for sharing, Lemon Pie!

Your story is an exelent piece of work and I really enjoyed reading it. I grew up watching Voyager and I loved Janeway from the very first episode on.
Great job and I hope to read some more Star Trek from you.
