Summary: Why do you despise these women so?

You look at her, this most recent one, a blond, and the way she wanders the house looking for Tony like she has a right to.

{just another}

And dozens of faces flash past - all thinking they deserve something more than what they got. All assuming that sex means something to him, that they mean something.

{Tony … Tony caring}

Your lip curls in disgust.

Some even cry, so naïve, the shine of star-struck love slowly washing away even as they mouth ‘no.’

{would you cry, waking up in that bed alone}

This one doesn’t cry. You’re not sure if that’s better or not.

You look at her and the way she wears his shirt like she has a right to.

{caring}

Women, you know, have just as much right to casual sex as men. Hell, you’ve had a few flings yourself.

But all these women - even the ones who’ve heard the rumors, who can see his charm for what it is - seem to carry this vulnerable belief that last night was different, that he cares.

{waking up in that bed alone, just another}

Even this one, wearing the shirt and looking for Tony. You see the way she hesitates, unwilling to believe she won’t see him, that he’s not waiting in the kitchen with coffee and his most adorable grin.

{caring for you}

You say ‘trash.’ You school your expression to mild disdain while something tightens and twists inside your chest, a pressure that skirts the edge of pain.

You’re good at this. You enjoy it.

You don’t think about why.

{just another, a redhead}
