Oh, this is good. You figure, in the last 7 years, she's only done this... how many times? Hundreds? Several hundred? And maybe sometimes she feels like an assistant, and other times she feels like a sister, or a mother, or a roommate, always resisting the urge to put herself in their shoes because that might say more about herself than she wants to admit - and yet, at a deeper level, she can't help but to do just that ( ... )

Thanks! I'm thrilled you were able to get so much out of it! I admit I was shooting for the idea that she hates that a part of her wants to give in to his charms and hopes he truly cares, so she hates when she's sees these women show a similar vulnerability. I agree - the T/P relationship (pre-his kidnapping and his changes) is so conflicted and messy that there's no way for her to truly think clearly about it.
