However, now I am going to be a hater. I hate 4/20, because I teach and it is almost always on a school day. Kids are extremely stupid on that day, and I wish the "holiday" would go away.
It takes a lot of effort for me to not punch people who say, "Happy Zombie Jesus Day!" like it's the first time I've heard it. And it usually comes from some kid who's wearing a black Hot Topic T-Shirt that says something equally clever, like: "My heart is black. D E A L with it."
I listen to all sorts of black metal bands who blaspheme Christ in all sorts of creative ways and that doesn't offend me. "Zombie Jesus Day" offends me outrageously and I will tell you why. Because it's cute. When you mock something out of hatred that is at least an honest emotion. Whether or not your grievances are genuine, you believe they are. You may be ignorant but at least you're sincere in your ignorance. Cute indicates that you don't take it seriously at all, one way or another. You think you're clever yet you don't understand or care to have understanding about what you're trying to be clever about and that makes you worse than the maliciously ignorant. */soapbox*

Otherwise, I love holidays!
