Women's history

Apr 15, 2010 05:36

Saw a car today with two bumper stickers. One said "Well behaved women rarely make history." The other said "Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Does that mean that women who are not well-behaved shouldn't learn about history so they can be sure to make more of it?

Repeat, not make more... That means making the same mistakes instead of new ones :-P

Course I have the first sticker, and a second saying something to the tune of those who sacrifice freedom for security will soon find they have neither.

And when fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. I tried to wrap fascism in a flag once and it told me to keep my laws off its body. I said we should just coexist but I don't think it understood me because I spelled out the word coexist using the symbols of various religions. It's okay though because the Goddess is alive and Magick is afoot. Although the Goddess could just be a heap of spaghetti depending on who you talk to.

Bumper stickers confuse me.

Well.. They get really amusing reactions when I visit my mothers kin in Northern Iowa. That by itself is worth it.
