3, 4, 5 Zizek is speaking today and tomorrow, but unfortunately I'm going to miss both speeches because I forgot to buy tickets. Anyway, I have movie night on Tuesday, but I probably would have postponed it for a decent lecture.
I like Zizek's lectures better than his written articles. He's forced to be more concise and his meandering style needs to fit a structure, generally with some larger point. More importantly, my brain works on overtime when he speaks, so I usually have a damn good idea what he's talking about. Text, on the other hand, allows me to wander, esp. with Zizek's meandering writing style. I still need to read his Robespierre essay again, 'cause I still don't quite get it.
