SATURDAYThe highlight of the weekend

Audrey, Masala and I were walking to Cinders Gallery for The Drama magazine's release party. On our way, we heard merengue music pumping from out a basement grate. The basement grate was proped open and was behind a full metal gate. Masala opened the metal gate and peered into the basement. She couldn't see ( Read more... )

That was the coolest thing ever. There's a lot of 'social clubs' for the Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in the neighborhood, but I've never been in one before. They usually seem like they'll beat the hell out of anyone who isn't invited. But Masala was our invitation.

But my life is mostly tedium and self-loathing. You just get the fun bits. I don't want to remember the rest.

I wholeheartedly agree with hooper_x. You have a crazy-awesome life and I can't help but wonder, if you don't sometimes start singing the chorus from Aldo Nova, when you discover such magical happenings?

Oh, an my Baby Ronald icon would like for your Evil Ronald to get together with Miss McDonald to make an artistic endeavor. Perhaps something in the way of an art film? Though, I may just be sick.

Happy Halloween!

That's a great video - I forgot about that song. And yeah, the underground social club was simply perfect. Stuff like that is the reason I moved here - to stumble onto something I would normally never experience.

And Miss McDonald is hot. I think the baby IS their artistic endeavor.

BTW, Evil McDonald was an asshole (as you would expect since he's, you know, evil). I asked if I could take a picture and he said, "Make it quick."

Nope. No Borat. No French nobility. Lots of dead people, though.
