That reads like a beginning of a promising short story! Makes you wonder what would happen if Chris really got to talk with Tom Flocks. Maybe he'll come to understand him.

This is more than 100 words though, isn't it ;-)

But I just kept going, because it lowed so well, and I wanted to end on something that felt like an ending... *shrugs*
