Honey, i shrunk the drum set!
So, did more drumming today. I still suck. I suck really bad. And my thumbs and fingers are extremely sore, because my callouses are re-developing. Thats encouraging, in a way, but im still pissed because i had very developed callouses before, and they softened up during the frictionless summer ( Read more... ) -
More Drums.
So we had our first band practice today. We didnt play any of the planned songs, but we did about three 5+ minute long jams that were fuckin awesome. The guitarist, corvin(sp?), is exactly like brendan in every fucking way. Its indescribable. Music and such.
So i finally got back into the drums to the point where i can play a good session. Yay. Felt so good to just play, and not worry about anything else. It was so awesome that it inspired me to set up my recording equipment again. I'm going to record a solo album, where i will be playing drums, bass , and guitar. Quick Update
My weekend:
Went to Audrey's friday, stayed till sunday. Same stuff there. Good times.
Went to the McAteer cabin for a barbeque and cardboard boat races. My team sucked ass and wouldnt listen to a word i had to say, so we sunk about halways, when we could have finished. Oh well, fuck them. Fuckin AP kids think they're the shit. Blah.

So... i got the new DevilDriver CD from Brendan. It's beautiful. It also inspired me to start practicing the drums again, so thats what i'm going to do. I really need to practice my double bass, and iget it back up to speed. I used to be able to play through DevilDriver's first CD with minimal mistakes and no fatigue. So, i had a chance at seeing SOAD in Oakland with Corina, but that was thoroughly fucked over (i wont say how or by who... but you can guess). Now my only chance at seeing them would be to buy four tickets at $120 a piece. Fuck that ( Read more... )
