It's so sad...

This morning, driving to work, I came to a stoplight behind another car. I had been behind this car for a while, and while we were going a bit fast (less then ten mph over), neither of us had done anything else wrong or even bad road manners that I was aware of. So it rather surprised me to see the car in the lane next to us stop abreast of Acura-

I wanted to step out and stand in front of his car and not move until he apologized for using inappropriate language towards ladies. But that will get you beat these days.

I once had a lovely gentleman in his very expensive car decide that 75 in the express lane wasn't fast enough for rush hour, then tailgate me. When he couldn't get over because rush hour, he resorted to once again tailgate me with both hands propped up on the steering wheel and flipping me both birds for ten miles.
Because yeah. Totally safe and useful.

Ugh been there! I had a lady cut me off in rush hour from the carpool lane (in which she was driving by herself) in her brand shiny new orange convertible. After driving in rush hour like us mere mortals for about three miles she (without using her blinker) cut off a guy to get back into the carpool lane. Because, yeah, entitled much?

Wow what the hell??

One time, my sister was driving home from work at night.

The freeway was surprisingly deserted because it was only eight or so. We're talking four lanes. She was in the second to right lane and this guy decides to drive up behind her and tailgate her.

She flashed her brake lights, he didn't back off, so she slowed down.

So did he.

The man has THREE LANES to choose from, and he chooses to turn on his highbeams, tailgate her, and honk his horn.

My sister sped up, so did he, still way too close. Flashed her brakes again, the guy flipped her off.

But then when she switched freeways, so did he.

Still wide open.

My sister decided that this was bullshit, the idiot now FOLLOWING her, so she slowed down again.

And slowed.

And slowed.

And slowed.

Finally, she's going at 30 miles or so on the nice empty freeway (in the right lane!), with this asshole swerving behind her, road raging in her rearview.

This went on for *twenty minutes* before he FINALLY went around her, flipping her off as he did.

good for her. I would have lost patience before then and called the cops.

"Hey so this guy is driving dangerously close behind me even though there is plenty of room to go around, swerving erratically and flipping me off for not feeling safe enough to drive at the pace he wants to go in the right hand lane. Will you please come and make my day by pulling him over and telling him to stop being such a bully--maybe give him a ticket for negligent driving or speeding or something? I'm heading south on 405 just past the 8th street Bellevue exit. Kaythanksbai."
