Hoy es miércoles, el catorce de noviembre de dos mil siete. Son las once menos cuarto de la tarde, and my Spanish lessons are coming along. Or at least I hope so. *looks sheepish*Anyway. As you can see, I learned the calendar today (weeks, months, seasons and time), and now I need to practice this a bit. So it would be great if everyone could ( Read more... )

November 30th :DD

When I take too long with my replies (mostly because I actually don't want to reply but make notes in my notebook), the woman who "speaks" to me via videos does funny things
LOL! Um isn't that a tad creepy?

El treinte de noviembre.
Year? :D (Just so I can practice my numbers again.)

I'm actually rather amused by that woman (in general, NOT when she cheers for Sevilla). Sometimes, she picks up a newspaper and starts reading, then she tells me she doesn't have all day, or she wipes the camera with a handkerchief, or - she sings. XD Very entertaining!

1988. Oh and "99" just for kicks XD

And that adds a whole new dimension of interaction. Its better than a beep sound! Gaah I wanna learn Spanish too, but i think i'd better focus on mastering french first. Hopefully it'll be easier by then since they are kind of similar..methinks.

1988 - mil novecientos ochenta y ocho.
99 - noventa y nueve

Hope I got those right.

The CD is really a lot of fun. I suppose it would be rather boring if it wasn't for the woman in the videos. Of course, it would be better if it was Sergio (or someone else) speaking to me via videos, but I guess one can't have everything. ;)

It's definitely an advantage to speak French well when you want to learn Spanish, so if you're already getting French lessons, do concentrate on them first. :)

Birthday would be 23.09.1985.

Get rid of that programme - it sings about Sevilla. XD

Whee! El veintitrés de septiembre de mil novecientos ochenta y cinco. :D (Would that make you a - libra? I've always sucked at zodiacs.)

Get rid of that programme - it sings about Sevilla. XD
You know, I was actually contemplating that. For a second or so. Then I thought about the 15 Euros I spent on the programme and the fact that (if you ignore the singing about Sevilla) it's actually quite good. ;)

NICE. (Of course I can't tell whether it's correct or not, but judging from my 9 years Latin - it does look pretty right to me. XD)

(It makes me a virgo. At the last minute.)

O RLY? I'm very proud of you. Contemplating that already rules. If only for a second. ;D I'm glad that you enjoy the programme and obviously make progress.

Hope this helps you somewhat. Also I'm somewhat pleased that I actually understood what "miércoles" meant before I realized what the sentence was about :) Those Spanish lessons did help somewhat, although actually I thought the only thing I remembered was "el rio Ebro" and "la ciudad" XD God, it's been ages.

August 25, 1987 - el veinticinco de agosto de mil novecientos ochenta y siete.
May 2, 2005 - el dos de mayo de dos mil cinco.
September 29, 2007 - el veintinueve de septiembre de dos mil siete.

Thanks for helping me practice! I had Spanish lessons at school a long time ago and all I remembered before I started studying with my CD-Rom was "camarero, yo tengo sed". XDD But it's awesome how much Spanish I understand just because I studied French - many words are very similar! :D

El ocho de febrero de mil novecientos sesenta y ocho. (Your birthday is four days after mine and one day after my brother's. That is awesome. :D)

How dare she!
That's what I thought! I was very tempted to kick her. *pouts*
