The journey down to Cardiff had been spent in a comfortable silence between the two of them, punctuated only by switching radio stations as they passed through different areas and odd comments. By the time they reached Cardiff Bay the sun was rising and it was Saturday morning. Jack quietly parked the SUV in its bay and left JD sleeping there while ( Read more... )

JD smiled happily in his sleep, his face squished against the window he was leaning on and murmering happily. "Nope." he said softly, smiling a little more. He breathed in and slid down the window, leaving a face-shaped streak down it. "Mmmm."

Jack stood watching JD for a moment wondering how exactly to wake him watching the state of the window, before deciding to tap on it gently to see if that would work.

"Bzuh?" he asked, jerking awake and slipping down the rest of the window to land in a complicated looking huddle on his seat. Rubbing his eyes he looked around for Jack.

Jack chuckled as he opened the door slightly and peered in. "Mornin' you." Seeing where JD was he opened the door a little more. "You fell asleep."

"Well, you'll want a prize then won't you." Jack laughed as he watched him.

"Am I not good enough?" Jack looked like he might sulk and pointed into the office. "Get."

"I don't know...can you put your arms around my neck and I can kiss you and show you off a lot?" he smiled. "Ok, I think I might've gotten my medal a bit earlier then..." he went further into the office, stifling a still-waking-up yawn, and took in what was in Jack's office. To one side, some sort of large metal cupboard, and lots of papers and items over Jack's desk. Smiling at small items of Jack's he could see why he liked them, why they were important. Letting a finger touch a toy plane gently, he smiled again, before turning back around. "Chair ride, that's the reward." he said, and jumped into it, and spun around a few times. Steadying himself with the desk, he looked up, and noticed some papers on the desk. "Oh, these are for you, Jack." he said, handing over a folder with a note saying 'Jack, this should be everything. Congratulations Sir, and have a gret time, Ianto.'

JD walked out the changing room, strutting in the new tux proudly. "This look alright?" he asked Jack, trying to see his backside.

Jack was making sure to properly appreciate JD's backside for him. "I'm thinking so, if you could just wiggle about a bit more..." Jack shrugged. "Or you know bring him a mirror so he can see what he obviously wants to see properly as he keeps showing me." Jack grinned as a hand held mirror was passed over to him.

JD grinned and looked. "Is it maybe too tight?" he asked, frowning.

"No." Jack was very open with his staring. "All kinda of no."

Jack after telling them that they'd broken down on the way had finally handed over all the papers that he'd remembered and sighed as he took JD's hand. "Ready?" This was it.

JD smiled and took a deep breath. "Lets go for it." he said, squeezing Jack's hand a little.

Nodding to himself, JD smiled and looked forwards, nodding again, this time to the man before them.
