Jenny slowly sat up, tucking the sheet under her arms as she turned to regard her husband, who was now leaning back against the headboard.
"Well..." She fought hard to remember everything that had been said. It had been so long since her family had been a part of her life. It didn't even truthfully feel like that had been her life. At this point, she felt as though she'd always been Jennifer Calendar, and now Giles, always a techno-pagan-turned-white-witch from the East coast.
"What I remember is that Angelus senselessly murdered one of my great-great... aunts, maybe? Or maybe a great-great cousin of some sort? I don't remember."
"An ancestor, nonetheless," Rupert nodded along.
"Right."
"Any mention as to... how?"
"He fed off her, I think." She made a face. Was that what had happened? "It's hard to remember now

The next evening, they'd gone to the Coven, where Jenny had known Angel was already awaiting them. Her bloodstone ring was left behind at home, and Giles made an effort to mask his fleeting jealousy at the way she flushed when it was removed
