Giles twined his fingers through his wife's hair, kissing along her hairline as she murmured, "Are you sure you're okay with tomorrow?"

"Of course," he returned, closing both arms around her once more and cuddling her against him, his hands clasped against her sheet-covered back. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well... because of Angel."

He nodded. Vivian King had told them that, in order to access her history with Angel, Angel needed to be present as they'd essentially be delving into his memories. And, though he hadn't exactly been thrilled at the prospect of Angel taking his wife into his memories, just the two of them, Giles understood it was the only way Jenny could get the answers she sought regarding her past.

"I'll still be there," he told her. "Miss King had mentioned some sort of spell or-or ritual she could perform that could allow us to look in on what you were seeing."

"Right."

"So long as Angel keeps his lips to himself, I'm sure everything will be just fine."

Jenny sighed, her cheek resting on his chest. "I just want to know the other side of things, y'know? My whole life, I only knew what my family told me."

"Which is what?" he asked, leaning his cheek on the crown of her head. He never had known precisely what Jenny had been sent to Sunnydale for, other than to watch Angel and ensure the curse on him never lifted.
