THESE TWO ARE SO FREAKING BADASS

Jenny was just slightly in front of him, arms crossed against her chest and a dangerous look in her eyes, the slightest of smirks curling her lips. Jenny had been mentally preparing herself for this battle for over a year, he guessed. He could feel the fear coursing through her almost as vividly as he could feel the magic and the power coursing through himself.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG THIS WHOLE DYNAMIC IS SOOOOOOO SHIFTED WITH JENNY THERE AND IT'S SO INTERESTING, OK EVERYONE SKIP TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH I'M THINKING THINKY THOUGHTS HERE. With Jenny there, and her and Giles being something of a united force pretty much the whole way through, and Jenny being so much more of an active role model (although in the series the spells on her computer are at least hinted to push Willow into the magicks, here she's able to teach her personally), you can see how they'd represent an even more powerful threat to her at this point; not just because obviously they're more powerful with there being two of them, but because they represent this sort of grounded, solid force. And at this point, no-one else around her represents that kind of strength, with Buffy all traumatised from her death and Xander and Anya having broken up and everything. PLUS, Giles and Jenny have that sort of solid, relationship-relationship that Willow and Tara could have had, so them facing off against here in this state is almost like ( ... )

OK, AND NOW TO OPEN PART TWO, your thinky thoughts! I LOVE THEM. You always have such fabulous perspectives on stuff I've never even considered before. And YES. YES. I LOVE that angle on it.

(DOWN, GANYA SHIPPER, YOU DO NOT BELONG HERE) BAHAHAHA. You have NO idea how hard it was NOT to do Giles/Anya stuff. Because I always used this episode as solid proof that Anya wanted to hit that. And vice-versa. The EYESEX. GUH. *clears throat* Ok, moving on back to the G/J side of things...

YES. THE BATTLE HAS ARRIVED. OOOOMMMMFFFGGGG FINALLY I GOT TO WRITE IT. I almost exploded from excitement, seriously. Been waiting almost a FULL YEAR for this. GUH.

I KEEP FORGETTING TO MENTION THIS:

And it was in the last one when they held hands and I forgot, and I'm like: "Oh, I'll just mention it in the feedback for the next chapter."

GAH! I almost forgot about that magic conduit thing! Hahahaha. I always meant to revisit that later (because that was the only reason I mentioned it in the first place). LOL.

I will definitely have to go back to that in season seven. :D

It's actually quite funny because I found myself thinking about this exact moment several times today. What could I possibly say that hasn't been said already? It was amazing? Sure, but it's been said so many times it's almost worn out. It was so goddamned perfect that it makes me angry at the world they don't wise-the-fuck-up and read all of ToC completely to this point? Um, HELLO WORLD! THIS! THIS THIS THIS! I want to shout from my window right now that everyone who hasn't taken the time to read the entire RP is crazy and doesn't know how a perfect love story evolves! I feel like the world is missing out on something amazing here, and I don't know what I can do about it, but I'm going to damn sure try.

That being said, let me be more specific...

♥♥ this scene... ♥♥ DEAR GOD THIS SCENE. Woman, you are the pillar of all things wonderful in this world. You gave me goosebumps. Don't get me wrong, these two were AMAZING on the actual show (SEE RANT ABOVE), but you...YOU...will always own these two in my heart. (again, see rant above) This whole scene is just beautiful. Why? Well...

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed this chapter. I think it is, to date, my favorite chapter to write. I know you have been preparing for it for so long and that was seen in these words. ← And that is precisely why, hehehe. I had been waiting SO LONG to write this (I remember even writing early season four, just itching to get to this chapter, lol), so I'm very happy to hear that shows through in the text.

Giles was amazing by himself, now put Giles and Jenny with powers together? Yes, Giles was pretty flippin' incredible (and sexy, have any of us mentioned SEXY?) all on his own, but I always figured if you threw Jenny in there, they could take over the world.

Also, the end? Good Hell.. That was seriously so cute.. I can't wait for Giles to be a daddy. <3333 Heeee, thanks! I had hoped you all would enjoy that part.
