Thanks for translating! I loved the choreo for UB, and it's hard to imagine that it would evoke laughter rather than emotions. I wonder if the original choreographers made the dance seem humorous

Of course I'm predisposed to like anything Arashi produces, but I do think that their works have merit even for people who don't know Arashi

So it seems the 'German dance unit' is actually Berlin-based RubberLegz & Montreal-based James Gregg (According to this source).

I have to admit I didn't come to like Arashi for their music (don't get me wrong, listening to their songs never fails to cheer me up, and much like you said, I'm predisposed to like anything they produce now!). But yeah, it's not hard to introduce works by Arashi to other people because they do have merit on their own.

Thank you for sharing that, the videos were fascinating to watch! I watched them with UB playing and while I found it less moving than Nino and Aiba's performance, I still didn't think of it as funny. Maybe if they were smiling it would seem funnier

Same, I came to like them through their variety shows rather than their music. But now I pretty much only listen to their music! If you don't mind me asking, how did you first discover Arashi?

I guess it's because UB just sounds like a love ballad? Pretty sure the original dancers don't intend their performances to be funny either, it's just Nino/Aiba and their sense of humour...

Funnily enough, I discovered Arashi thanks to a storm! A really bad typhoon hit and we were trapped indoors for 3 days. Trees, bridges, roads, buildings were literally being washed away but somehow the TV/internet cables were fine and Ryuusei no Kizuna happened to be airing. Had nothing else to do so we ended up watching all of RnK and a lot of other Arashi things.

By the time the storm died down and we could see the light of day again, we were firm Arashi fans XDDD

I am amazed that they have planned UB's dance to be 'funny' and turned out to be 'touching'. :p

UB is one of my favorite ✨ and after I read that they weren't exactly want that to be moving, but the audiences tell differently 😊 but whatever it is, it's a good song and choreography too 💕
