Procrastination in green.

Okay, I'll admit it. I've been procrastinating. And I have no good reason to, either! Having been given loads of advice from both kitty_vane  and sabbitha, I really don't have much of an excuse.

But I can't help it. I'm stuck on his hair. Once I get started I'll be fine but I need someone to push me over that edge - like skydiving. I reckon once I'm in the air I'd be ( Read more... )

I'm a big big BIG fan of 100% wool or wool+cotton or wool+soya or whatever, but these acrylics.. man.. they're so super super soft! Like green clouds.

I've been horribly procrastinating too, I have so much to get done! I can't let it get away from me, or be intimidated by it.
We can both get it done!

We'll be each other's motivation! Today I want to get his clothes made (although I do have to take my nanna out to lunch), so I'll aim for that. What's your goal? Let's try and do it!

Don't use the apple green roving - I want to eat it instead, nom nom nom. It looks yummy.
No actually, they're all really great, except maybe the lower right hand corner one (the feather stuff) because I never liked that stuff so much (it got too popular for scarves). Are you going to use just one or a mixture? Have you, in fact, already done it and posted pictures and I just haven't worked through to that part of my friend's list yet?

I have in fact already STARTED the hair and posted pictures! But that made me giggle, hehe.

I didn't end up using the feather yarn actually because it turned out to be too dark and too olive and also for the same reason as you said - it got too overdone and really, it gives me the irrits. But it was like $2 so I grabbed it up with everything else, and now I have to find some way to use it!

I also didn't end up using the roving because frankly I couldn't be bothered felting all that into dreaddies. So I might use it to try needle felting some creatures! Or just eat it, nom nom nom!

Maybe you could make a mini-troll, a simpler one, and try using the roving for that, because it would probably look cool, but less work if smaller. mmm, apple green, such a great colour. I want apple lollies. Maybe you could needle felt a troll.
I've seen the later pictures now, and he is looking awesome! He seems to be a lot of work though :o
Sorry, this post is all over the place ;-)

Something else I really want to try too, is wet felting chunky round beads, lots of nice colours, and making a necklace or something. It'd mean I'd have to go out and buy some more roving in different colours but I'm sure I can make that sacrifice ;)

Mr Troll guy is a lot of work but (mostly) in a good way! I like a good challenge.
