I'm making a baby!

Well, that's what softie making feels like sometimes! All the planning and practicing (clearly the best bit about making the babies is the "practicing"!) and measuring and drafting and cutting and pinning and sewing... and then, if you're lucky, you end up with a squirmy, squishy lump that you have to name and cloth and then find a home for.

I struggle with the shadowy lurker bit too. I don't get very many comments on my blog yet though, so responding to them isn't too bad *L*

Holly, It is your blog so really you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. Comment on the posts you want .
I don't ever expect answers to my comments - they are nice though if you ask a specific question....this is so funny. Me ! the biggest worrier in the world telling someone else to chill out !

Troll! You are gonna share the final product right? Cause trolls are pure love!

What do you do with mock-ups after you've made the final piece? Do you keep them, toss them, keep them for pattern references?

So far I've never done a mock-up of a whole plushie, just the pieces I'm not sure will turn out like planned. So for this one I have a head and a foot. A weird pink head with red and green seams so... I'll probably not be reusing that one, no. But I will cannibilise the stuffing! Poor pink head..

It was made out of fabric scraps from another failed softie anyway, so its his third time around or something.

And you bet I'm going to share the final product! I can't wait until he's done, I think he's going to look really cute (they wanted a cuted-up troll instead of a realistic Warcraft troll).

Yes you do need to post more, missy! :p

But only because I love looking at everything you make and I like knowing you're okay and having nice days. I think having a nice crackling fire would be so nice to craft in front of! I may never shift.
