1.A month after Haruhi drafts Kunikada into the SOS-dan, Kyon goes back to the classroom to get the math textbook he left behind, only to find Itsuki sitting at his desk, asleep. It's a Tuesday afternoon, and though it is not yet summer, it is warm enough that Kyon thinks he can hear the cicadas start up. Or maybe that's just the sound of Itsuki snoring. He taps Itsuki on the shoulder, and Itsuki jolts awake. Kyon grins. "You're drooling," he lies

In the silence, the shrill whistles coming from the track club finishing their final laps are loud and clear. Itsuki's eyes are bright with the afternoon sunlight, and Kyon doesn't know what Itsuki wants him to say. So he doesn't say anything at all, and they sit there, waiting. It is as dead as one of Kunikada's dead spaces, and just as terrifying, and this time, there isn't even Kunikada to pull both of them out.

Eventually, Itsuki gets up, slings his bag over his shoulder, and leaves without glancing back at Kyon.

2.Here's how it starts: the long walk home, interrupted by a girl (beautiful, to be sure, the kind of frantic beauty that screamed, "I'm alive, I'm alive!") grabbing your tie and dragging you off to the nearest family restaurant. Introductions, hurried and imprecise, no questions allowed and none asked. A bill left behind for you, even though you were the one invited

Despite the smile, for the first time since you've met him, he sounds serious, absolutely, deadly serious. It is the solemnity in the "you", the calm of the way he says "wanted", like he knows what want is, like he alone could tell you the meaning of your own existence. With his face turned towards the sky, it is like he is talking to God, and it makes you cold, right in the cavity of your chest, right in your heart.

"Don't be disgusting," you mutter.

"I'll try," he tells you, mildly so you know he is mocking you in that way he does, but the coldness is still there in your heart when he leaves you, a casual flick of his wrist as a wave goodbye.

I'm trying to remember the fandoms that I think I still have enough knowledge to write, and they are like: Harry Potter, Prince of Tennis, Haruhi Suzumiya, Hetalia, Ouran Host Club, probably politics RPS and some punditry/fake punditry (not that I think that would interest you, hahaha), Hikaru no Go?

I say this with a mind towards how many book/small animanga fandoms I could probably write for but am too lazy to list because chances are no one will ask, like Good Omens or A Separate Peace or Brideshead Revisited or Minami-ke or even HanaKimi! So the moral of the story is ask first. :DDDDD
