Hm.  I grew up on country music, and only started learning other genres recently.  Mostly self defense since dudes at Independence Middle and Princess Anne High back in Virginia genuinely could not comprehend people liking country music.  I asked people why they didn't like country awhile back, and received... interesting answers.

I love country music! I'm a fan of all types, though, and recently country hasn't been what I've been in the mood for, but my husband and I had a mix at our wedding reception. We danced to All My Roads by Collin Raye and then my daughter and I danced to the beautiful In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride.

And your recs are great. I still can't believe someone tried to tell Keith Urban to wrap it up. OMG, he's great!

YAY COUNTRY FAN! *squee* My parent's wedding song was a bit of an odd choice... So was their marriage, but, the song was 'I Believe,' by Diamond Rio. Another song I meant to mention but didn't.

I like a lot of music, but country's just what my family does, so other types aren't really welcome unless my mom puts them on. Which she doesn't so, moot point.

Yeah, that was a mistake for MTV. I think they were trying to get Simple Plan on the stage, but... Didn't work out. :D

I LOVE 'I Believe'. You're right about the odd choice for a wedding song. I wanted it to walk down the aisle to, but chose another instead. But that was just because I wanted my grandpa to walk me down the aisle when I was a little girl and he's gone now.

My mom is strictly into country, too. Me? I like so much stuff it's just sad. :)

Yeah, my dad chose it. They didn't have a real song that both identified to, because they married on a bet. Sixteen years later, everyone's in shock.

It's a beautiful song, though. Prayers that you see your grandpa every time you look for him.

I think I like a bit of everything except rap. I'm good at driving people up the wall, letting them adapt to one type of music while I have control of the radio, and switching it mid song to something else. XD
