Hanami is upon us, the news announced today that the blossoms in Tokyo are officially blossoming, they'll be at their peak around the 26th-28th (?), though I guess it's a little weather dependent. So my focus this week will be to try and figure out where to go to view the flowers. I notice that Skytree had a sakura illumination tonight, it was all ( Read more... )

Happy early birthday! I hope you'll take lots of photos of the cherry blossoms. Well, and if you go to Disney (obviously). I'm kind of curious how the merchandise at Disney would be different there!

Thank you! I'll do my best~~~

Ho ho ho Disney merchandise. There are always tons of special limited merchandise sets going on at the Tokyo parks. Some tie in with the current events/shows at the parks, some are more random. Do let me know if there's anything in particular you're curious about. I could provide info! Haha :)

I'm generally kind of curious if the merchandise is more kawaii than what we get in the US or if things are similar (which I know is hard to answer if you don't know what we get here). I'd definitely love to see if/what they have for the Haunted Mansion (that's my favorite!) :D I've only ever been to the US parks...I'm kicking myself for not at least going to Disneyland Paris for the day when I was in the UK!

I can probably snap some examples for you. I'm guessing the biggest difference in merchandise is Tokyo Disney Resort's variety of edible souvenirs. Rice crackers, chocolates, other travel sized cakes and treats in cute packaging that you can take home and share with your family or co-workers.

When it comes to Haunted Mansion, I've asked about Haunted Mansion merchandise every time I've been to the park, and they've never had any :( I have found exactly two pieces of Haunted Mansion merchandise at Tokyo Disney, and I've bought both. I brought one of them with me, because I can wear it at the park:

LOL yes the professional photo of that ramen is a bit tastier looking than your photo LOL. But I'd still try it! At first I thought ti was like a rice pudding or something underneath.

Looks like a super fun day though. What is "Cosmo World"?

Cosmo World is an amusement park in Yokohama. Entrance is free, you just pay for the rides you want to ride. http://cosmoworld.jp/map/

Try not to stress yourself out over trying to do everything. No human being alive can do EVERYTHING without totally burning themselves out or going broke or both. And then you can't enjoy anything because you're burnt out and skint. Do what feels most important to you and enjoy it! Like that ramen that admittedly sounds weird at first, but the more I thought it over and looked at it, the more I thought I would definitely try it. Mmmm, sweet and savory flavors together.

Oh don't worry, I'm very chill about it. Mostly because I feel like I've already outdone everything I was able to accomplish during my 6 month semester back in 2007-2008. Hahhaha :D It completely amazes me how much I've improved. And even though I still struggle to go out and have meals by myself, I really understand now how much progress I've made with my anxiety issues. It makes me feel amazing, and gives me a little extra boost of courage. Yay!
