Same as every year, I won't get to watch ... why they schedule it for a Sunday night, I'll never understand. For me it always feels iffy to take a day off from work just to watch TV through the night. I'll just marvel at the photos sure to pop up on the Internets on Monday evening, like every year.
Admittedly, I'm a little curious how Christian is doing with the prospect of you leaving for Japan so soon. I mean, I'm sure he supported your decision 100% but it still must be strange for him, right? Have you guys ever been separated that long?
I took time off work once or twice for post-Oscars blues. AND IT ALWAYS FELT AMAZING. XDDDDD;
He seems to be doing fine! Everyone stresses so much, going "OMG LONG DISTANCE?????" and it perplexes me. While we haven't been separated for a whole year before (and we won't this time either, he'll come visit as often as he can), I did live in Japan for 6 months back in 2007-08. All I know is, Christian and I have been together for 13 years this year. We'll survive. Hahahhahaha.
WTF Tove?! How could you not like Fury Road? It's amazing! You have redeemed yourself slightly by also loving Sicario though. No-one I know has seen it but I thought that it was wonderful. I'm glad that it's up forBest Sound as that's a massive part of why it's so good. It deserves so much more though.
That wine! For my birthday last year a friend bought me a similar bottle - "I know that the label looks like it's got a pair of hookers on it but it's meant to be really nice wine!" Haha.
Lolll I don't know, I just do not 8D This was my initial reaction to it. It was the acting more than anything. I think I could get into the world and story, but the acting pulled me out of it all the time, and it made it difficult to pay attention or take it seriously.
I watched Ex-Machina yesterday, which I really enjoyed a lot. And the outdoor scenes were filmed in Norway! Hahahha. The story and setting felt eerily familiar, but I can't put my finger on what it reminded me of. I enjoyed the tense atmosphere and the premise of it. I found the ending quite satisfactory as well, very, very pleased :)
But it's such a well-made action film. It's genuinely the most exciting film I've seen at the cinema since Gravity.
I loved Ex-Machina. I was glad that it got such good reviews and one Oscar isn't so bad, although I'm pretending that Alicia Vikander's Oscar was actually for Ex-Machina!
:X I don't know what to say! Hahahaha. It just wasn't for me, I guess~! And I came into it wanting to enjoy it. But it fell flat for me almost instantly. Maybe some day I'll give it another go. xD;;;
