Bloody hell, I did not even realize what was in the middle of the first picture at first!

A friend of mine used to translate very different books, and she did a couple of translations of trashy romance novels as well, even though she was not a fan nor have read many herself. I hope you get the job, and if you do, please post about things that stand out in translation (please do that with any job, I love hearing about such things).

Haha! :D

Iiiih, it sounds like fun :) I don't really have any experience with literary translation, so it takes a little getting used to. I'll share what I can, but it depends on whether they make me sign NDAs or not. The test translation didn't come with any other paper work, so I'll be able to share notable things from that one xD;

That sounds like such enjoyable weather. I love rain, though.

That comic is perfect.

You and your life has gone through many changes in the last year or two. I think a lot of it came from your work experiences, learning, adapting, having confidence instilled, knowing when to move on and deciding for freelance work. Japan played a part too, I'm sure.

Good God, that novel sounds like one I would NOT buy. Hang in there!

Definitely! Being put into such a stressful and difficult work related situation forced me to stand up for myself, and it was a very healthy experience all things considered. I wish I would have known how to speak up sooner, it could probably have saved me from a couple of sleepless nights.

Oh no, but it's fun! Though... yeah, maybe not fun enough to actually spend money on xD;;;

The pictures of the flooding are pretty insane/scary!

Walking around the city yesterday, I encountered this! All the shops along the river were closed due to flooding.

We're just experiencing some mild flooding. #oslo

I love that comic. It is absolutely perfect for the stage of my life I feel I am in.

YIKES on the flooding, though. in 1996 we had a nasty hurricane hit our coast and it wiped out whole communities with flooding. Parts of the region simply never recovered. It can be quite scary. I hope things settle soon.

The flooded areas seem to be recovering OK. I think these people are used to floods, it happens every other year or so... maybe even more recently lately. Why they choose to rebuild houses in areas that flood easily, I'll never understand 8D;
